In Delhi, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) headquarter was sealed on Sunday after a senior staff official tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
A senior CRPF staff, Additional Director General Jawed Akhtar's stenographer tested report is positive for Covid-19 today.
The department has informed the district surveillance officer for "initiating required protocols" as per medical guidelines for the positive cases, for the follow the required process and time-bound proper sealing of the building area located in the CGO complex on Lodhi Road.
As per report, Additional Director General Jawed Akhtar and 10 other personnel staffs have been home-quarantined, even as authorities began contact-tracing of all the staffs who were came in contact with the staffer at the headquarter building.
Now health team start the process, the CRPF building is now being sanitized today and has been closed until the required task is completed in this building. The force announced that official work in this building will not be allowed inside the premises from Sunday.
A senior officer official said that "We have contacted surveillance officer of NDMC and sanitation and fumigation is being done. No one will be allowed until the building is declared safe."
On more test is positive in this force, a driver attached with CRPF staffs, his test is positive with Covid-19.
As per report, 144 CRPF personnel test was positive in Delhi, 135 personnel from 31 Battalion Mayur Vihar phase 3 in Delhi. Now, the entire battalion has been totally sealed.
Few days later, one CRPF personnel had died and one has recovered from this deadly virus and the result of at least 20 more personnel are still awaited.
