COVID-19- the virus has claimed 57 live in 24 hours, the total death toll 775 in India. Maharashtra reported the highest number of deaths till now, as followed by Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi.

In India, COVID-19 positive cases is 1,429, a record number of cases in last 24 hours compare to day before positive cases is 1684. The total number of positive cases in the country has reached to 24,506 as per latest update by government. In last 24 hours, the total claimed 57 lives across the country and death count reached 775. It was the highest number of death in a single day.

Maharashtra has registered 778 new positive cases on Thursday, now the COVID-19 count in the state stood at 6,817. The total number of positive cases over 3000 in Mumbai alone, the worst affected city in the country. In Maharashtra, the fatality continues to report highest number of deaths at 301 followed by Gujarat (127), Madhya Pradesh (92) and Delhi (53).

According to health ministry, over 5,000 people have recovered for the deadly disease in India. Maharashtra has the total recovered at 840 people, the highest number of cases in the country

Delhi has maintained one of the best recovery rates with this virus in the country with 857 patients discharged from the hospital so far. Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday that plasma therapy showed positive results on four coronavirus patients in the capital.

India’s two states, Goa and Manipur announced that the states are now COVID-19 free, there are no positive cases, Tripura Chief Minister announced that the state has become coronavirus- free.

Coronavirus has infected more than 2.7 million people and killed at least 195,000 worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. More than 51,000 people have died in the United States. America has so far recorded over one fourth of the global COVID-19 deaths. France has reported the slowest increase in deaths linked to the coronavirus in almost four weeks. Death toll in the country has increased to 22,245.
